150th Anniversary Celebration

Since 2005, Wayne State University has partnered with MVP Collaborative on various capital campaign projects and events.

For one of its milestone capital campaigns, the University was also marking its 150th anniversary and unveiling a brand-new marketing identity. WSU turned to MVP Collaborative to create an unforgettable year of celebration and engagement, showcasing the University’s rich history and bright future.

We tackled this with several key projects: a Sesquicentennial kickoff program featuring performances by students to honor WSU’s impact on Detroit and beyond; a seven-city road show inviting alumni and friends to Bring Something, Say Something, or Do Something—from sharing cherished items for a digital time capsule to supporting the campaign; and a grand finale on campus to celebrate the past 150 years and launch the next chapter.
